The seeds-to-feeds organisers have decided to cancel the six community dinners this week in the interests of public health. But the food is going to be cooked anyway for those ticket holders who have elected to pick up their dinners instead. Houghton Valley meals will be cooked locally and delivered to the hall for distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, we did manage the foraging walk:<\/strong> group of about 10 people spent the spectacular weather on Sunday morning up on the Te Raekaihau Headland, foraging for wild weeds and flowers, and headed back to Grant\u2019s place to make a salad with some supplementary homegrown lettuce and capsicum, and delicious bread.<\/p>\n\n\n

Several of the people on the walk were from other seeds-to-feeds projects and we enjoyed comparing notes. Some knew lots about foraging, so we all shared our knowledge as well as the lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
